AQUARESPONSIBILITY
WORK IN PROGRESS
Work in progress
iiAm has recently developed an audit methodology to evaluate the level of aquaresponsibility of municipalities. For each of the 17 elements of aquaresponsibility a list of required information was defined, the indicators identified and a procedure developed on how to judge the level of aquaresponsibility for each indicator. On this basis the audit on aquaresponsibility of Quebec City was completed in 2011-2012. This pilot project enabled the validation of the approach and the verification of the applicability of the auditing procedure. IiAm has produced a guide on municipal water liability, which presents the various elements of aquaresponsibility and their indicators. Another project was carried out with the City of Val-d'Or. This project validated the approach with a municipality of medium size in the province of Quebec (approximately 25,000 inhabitants).
